WaterDamageFinder

The Anti-Auction Pledge

We will never sell your information. You choose who to contact. No one contacts you unless you initiate it.

— Aaron Maxwell, Founder

What This Means

  • You browse contractors freely — no forms required to see any data.
  • You decide who to call — nobody calls you first.
  • Your contact information is never shared, sold, or auctioned.
  • No hidden data collection, no lead packages, no third-party sales.

How We're Different

Most contractor websites you find through Google aren't directories at all — they're lead generation platforms. When you fill out a "find a contractor" form, you're not contacting a contractor. You're submitting your information to a platform that will sell it.

Platforms like Angi and HomeAdvisor buy Google Ads for searches like "water damage repair near me," capture your details through forms that look like contractor searches, then sell that lead to three to five contractors — each paying $15 to $80 for your contact information. You consented to finding a contractor. You did not consent to a bidding war.

WaterDamageFinder has no forms that trigger contact. We list contractors with verified response times and insurance network data. You read the information, make your own assessment, and call whoever you choose. That's it.

Why This Matters

In a water emergency, the fear of getting flooded with calls is enough to make people hesitate before seeking help online. Every minute of hesitation is a minute of water spreading under floors, wicking up walls, and multiplying the repair bill. The Anti-Auction Pledge removes that barrier. You can search without triggering a phone auction.
